OCCC VPAC Center Theater
Visual & Performing Arts Center (VPAC) Theater
The 1,100 seat Performing Arts Theater is the premier venue for major cultural and entertainment events in South Oklahoma City. The acoustical concert hall was designed with state-of-the-art audio, lighting, projection, and recording systems and an energy conscious HVAC system that allows on-site equipment to use OCCC’s central plant. Stagecraft innovations and exceptional amenities for performers make the theater a versatile showcase for both collegiate and professional performances. Triad coordinated a specialized team of consultants for all aspects of theater planning and design including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering as well as acousticians, stage rigging, lighting, and seating layout specialists. The involvement of OCCC’s Board of Regents and Facilities Management maintained a continuity of vision for the project throughout the design process.
The Theater was the final component of the 75,000 sq. ft. Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC). Phase one, the 56,500 sq. ft. Arts Center, was constructed first. In addition to general academic needs for staff and faculty, the facility has customized space for each division of the arts department:
Film and Video Production: studio, sound stage, technical backstage area with projection and recording control facilities; audio/video/lighting control, editing and sound editing lab; set design

Music: rehearsal rooms, piano/MIDI lab, music library, soundproofed teaching studios, and practice rooms
