Triad’s redesign of the Kay County interchange at US Interstate 35 and State Highway 11 included twin bridges over I-35, replacing the insufficient four-span bridge.  The new parallel bridges are integral and designed to conform to current AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.  The bridge is comprised of two 119 foot spans utilizing steel plate girders.  Each bridge is a 38’ clear roadway with 46’ median width on roadway
